Gender quota in corporate boards in Kosovo

This research brings us an overview of the situation after the adoption of the Law on Business Organizations women in Kosovo constitute about 50% of the population and are entitled to gender equality based on the Constitutional principles and other legislation. The Law on Gender Equality, in particular, stipulates for equal representation of genders in all spheres of life, including the gender representation in corporate boards. Kosovo’s Law no. 06/L-016 on Business Organizations defines a corporation as a Joint Stock Company or Limited Liability Company. KCGS member of the ERAC Coalition comes up with the findings about the implementation of this law 10 months after its adoption in May 2018.
